And then they had a problem with iii.11.ii, which they recall they fixed in iii.11.3. Still there are more problems with version three.xi.three. Before the last ii versions, I could cull 'Compress "some directory"' from the finder menu, and so few minutes later I could uncompress it by using "The Unarchiver". At present, randomly I become a notofication nearly the encoding the compressed file uses. Then i am temporarily using command line tools to practice the operations. BTW, there seems to be another bug that comes upwards if you select more than nearly 250 files from Finder and invoke "The Unarchiver". And so somehow "The Unarchiver" retentiveness gets corrupted, and the menus no longer piece of work(e.g. Quit button disappears.) and the programme hangs. Have to force quit information technology externally. I should mention Xee three.5.3(marketed by the aforementioned visitor) inherited a problems in the new release, that it can no longer reliably read .cbr and .cbz(or .rar or .zip) files reliably either. Some pages show up as noise, where as other programs(like Comic Reader). And so on Xee I rolled back to 3.5.two

Poor error handling

Been using this for years. The app works fine about of the time, simply when something is wrong with the archive, the app doesn't requite anything resembling useful information about the error. It only basically tells you something'south wrong. What's wrong? No details whatsoever other than it tin can't extract. When that happens, I have to turn to the unfortunately abandoned UnRarX, which has a test function which tells me what's wrong with the annal, such as a corrupted function.

Cannot deselect file formats in Preferences

I only installed The Unarchiver, and am attempting to set its preferences. When I endeavor to deselect a file format which I practise not want The Unarchiver to expand by default, it will not allow me to do so. Information technology pops upwards a dialog proverb "Set another app as the default app for selected file types if you wish. This behavior is extremely annoying. Even if I did not already know how to assign default applications, I should not be required to do so before I can deselect a file type in The Unarchiver's preferences. This behavior is enough to stop me from using the application. Please prepare this obnoxious behavior. It is unreasonable.
